GOODYEAR, Arizona – Cincinnati Reds catcher Curt Casali tried to play through it – and he did. He made it to the end of the season.
“Day after the season, less than 24 hours after the last pitch of 2018, I went right in and got it done," said Casali, who had surgery on his left hip. "The rehab is going good.”
Casali is participating in drills, but he'll be delayed as far as playing in spring training games due to hip surgery in October.
“He’s going to be on time for the season," Reds Manager David Bell said.
