Cincinnati Reds call up top prospect Noelvi Marte for team's MLB-leading 14th debut

Another day, another top prospect joins the big leagues for the Cincinnati Reds.

The Reds have called up infielder Noelvi Marte from Triple-A Louisville for tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays, a source confirmed.

It will be the Reds' MLB-leading 14th big-league debut when he plays.

Marte, a shortstop acquired from Seattle in last year's Luis Castillo trade, has been playing mostly third base this year. With the demotion last week of third baseman Nick Senzel that would seem a natural defensive landing spot for him with the big-league club.
