CHICAGO – The Reds have relied on their bullpen all season, watching their relievers log heavy innings with a youthful starting rotation.

Perhaps that’s what made Saturday’s meltdown sting a little more.

The Cubs erased a five-run deficit in their final three trips to the plate, handing the Reds a painful 8-7 loss Saturday at Wrigley Field.
