The change in venue from Cleveland to Milwaukee was just what the Cincinnati Reds needed to wake the bats. Or maybe it was the shuffled lineup.
Whatever it was, the Reds left the offensive drought behind them for at least one night with an 8-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park on Friday night. The Reds snapped a 24-inning scoreless streak with a six-run second inning. The big blow was Matt Davidson’s three-run bomb to center. Nick Castellanos added two more in the sixth with his seventh home run.
All that offense was more than Trevor Bauer needed.
