The Cincinnati Reds are among at least five MLB teams with which the Boston Red Sox have discussed a potential trade for left-handed starting pitcher David Price, according to a report Thursday by MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.
More from Feinsand, who also mentions Red Sox outfielder and former Madeira High School standout Andrew Benintendi in his report:
Price has three years and $96 million remaining on his deal, a seven-year, $217 million pact he signed with the Red Sox four years ago -- at the time, the biggest pitching contract in the game's history.
