Cincinnati Reds blow four-run lead in 7-6 loss to San Francisco Giants

Two-run dingers from both Joey Votto and Mike Moustakas likely get them the nod here, but it’s incredibly late and the pain of watching this one slip away has already sapped the energy of the night.

Nick Castellanos had a couple more hits, which was rad. Eugenio Suarez was on base twice, while Alex Blandino poked a big RBI single (at the time).

Still, it will still get filed to memory as a game where the Reds had a 4-0 lead with all the cards in their hands and still found a way to lose. Drat.

Key Plays

  • The Top of the 1st pitted the Reds offense against former Red Kevin Gausman, who had been tabbed as the Giants Opening Day starter earlier this year.
