Cincinnati Reds' top prospect Nick Senzel talks about his debut Tuesday with Triple-A Louisville. Fletcher Page, fpage@enquirer..com
Nick Senzel’s debut is easily the most anticipated for the Cincinnati Reds since Jay Bruce’s on May 27, 2008. Bruce was the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball on Baseball American’s list.
Bruce didn’t disappoint in his debut. He went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base.
Bruce and Senzel are very different players. Bruce is strictly an outfielder. He got to the Majors at 21 years old. He projected as a home run guy.
Senzel can play anywhere in the infield, and he’s debuting in center field.
