The Cincinnati Reds’ 1-4 start is no reason to panic. But you could argue that it is time to shake things up a bit – and maybe give some of the struggling players a day off to regroup.
Chief among the struggling players is Scott Schebler. He went into Thursday hitless in 17 at-bats and struck out in all three at-bats Wednesday in the 1-0 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
The problem is the Reds open a four-game series in Pittsburgh Thursday. Schebler is the closest thing – non-Michael Lorenzen division – to a true center fielder the Reds have on the roster.
