Cincinnati Reds avoid arbitration with all players; Trevor Bauer nets near-record deal

Under a Friday afternoon deadline to exchange salary figures for the 2020 Major League Baseball season, the Cincinnati Reds reached an agreement with all five of their remaining arbitration-eligible players.

Trevor Bauer ($17.5 million), Anthony DeSclafani ($5.975 million), Michael Lorenzen ($3.725 million), Curt Casali ($1,462,500) and Matt Bowman ($865,000) settled on one-year contracts to avoid an arbitration hearing. Outfielder Travis Jankowski, another arbitration-eligible player, agreed to a $1.05 million contract in December.
