There were some changes to the Cincinnati Reds' minor league system on Monday because Major League Baseball restructured the minor league pipeline.
The Reds will have four full-season affiliates next season. Their Triple-A team will be in Louisville, Double-A team in Chattanooga, High-A team in Dayton and Low-A team in Daytona. Dayton and Daytona are flipping levels.
The minor league affiliates still need to accept the Reds' invitation to remain as their affiliate, but that's viewed as a formality. The Reds will have rookie-level teams at their complex in Goodyear, Arizona, and their academy in the Dominican Republic.
