Cincinnati Reds add Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp and Alex Wood in trade with Los Angeles Dodgers

The Reds completed a seven-player trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday that will send outfielders Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp, right-hander Alex Wood and utility player Kyle Farmer to the Reds for Homer Bailey and two minor leaguers.

Puig, Kemp and Wood will become free agents following the 2019 season, as the Reds sent minor league shortstop Jeter Downs and pitcher Josiah Gray to Los Angeles.

Puig, who will reunite with new Reds hitting coach Turner Ward, hit .267 last season with 23 homers and 63 RBI in 125 games. MLBTradeRumors.com projected he will make around $11 million through arbitration in the final year of his contract.
