Cincinnati Reds prospect Christian Encarnacion-Strand, hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer for his first big-league hit off of Giants relief pitcher Sean Manaea in the bottom of the 5th inning of Tuesday night's game against San Francisco at Great American Ball Park, to give the Reds an 8-7 lead.
The homer traveled 426 feet. It was his fourth career plate appearance.
Encarnacion-Strand made his Major League Baseball debut after his promotion from Triple-A Louisville Monday by starting Monday's game at designated hitter and batting seventh, becoming the first Reds player to make his MLB debut at DH.
