CHICAGO – With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday, the Cincinnati Reds played with a five-man infield.
It didn't matter when Reds reliever Jackson Stephens walked Chicago Cubs third baseman David Bote with the bases loaded.
Cubs teammates surrounded Bote in the infield after his walk handed the Reds a 6-5 loss at Wrigley Field in front of 38,655 fans. The Reds dropped the final two games of the three-game series, holding a lead in both of their losses.
Reds left fielder Adam Duvall hit a solo home run to open the ninth inning, tying the game at 5, against Cubs closer Brandon Morrow.
