The fireworks from Saturday’s benches-clearing incident in the eighth inning wasn’t contained to the field.
After the Reds’ 6-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park, Cubs reliever Pedro Strop said Yasiel Puig was “stupid” for his reaction to a hit by pitch in the eighth inning.
“It’s not a secret he’s stupid," Strop told reporters. "He’s stupid as (blank). I mean, I have nothing against him, but he’s stupid.
