Chicago Cubs interested in former Reds infielder Scooter Gennett, per report

On the same day that the Cincinnati Reds appear to have upgraded their lineup by adding a free-agent outfielder who posted huge numbers in 225 plate appearances for the Chicago Cubs last season, baseball analyst Bruce Levine of WSCR 670 AM in Chicago reports via Twitter that the Cubs are interested in former Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett.

The Reds agreed to terms Monday morning with Nicholas Castellanos, who the Cubs acquired at the 2019 trade deadline.
