ST. LOUIS -- There's no debate about who has the best stuff of the Reds' starter.
Luis Castillo's fastball tops out at 98. His 86-mph changeup fools the best hitters when it's working. And his slider is decent as well.
All three were working Saturday.
Castillo struck out a career-high 11 and allowed only two hits over to 6 2/3 shutout innings to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 before a sellout crowd of 46,368 at Busch Stadium.
The only quibble you could have with Castillo's outing: He walked the final batter he faced. That kept him from finishing the seventh.
