Bronson Arroyo on MLB Network: 'I'm at war ... with a handgun'

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Bronson Arroyo chatted with MLB Network analysts Matt Vasgersian and Mark DeRosa on Wednesday morning during MLB Central about the pitcher he is now - at 40 years old.

On the process of coming back:

Well, 2 1/2-year process was a long, long time, you know, coming off both those surgeries, you feel like, you know, 18 months I'd be back, I've been healthy for 20 years. It was just a little more difficult than I thought, you know, and it's just different steps trying to get over the hump, and trying to get the arm just to really just handle volume and it's still got some quirks I'm trying to work out as we speak because I'm still pitching these big-league games.
