He hit the first batter, gave up a single to the second, and then almost botched a run down after making a heads up play with a groundball back to the pitcher from Christian Yelich. The Reds got the lead runner of the run down, but both batters advanced to third and second on the play. Gray then walked the bases loaded. He got back up 1B Rowdy Tellez to a 0-2 pitch and then hit him in the elbow to score a run.
