After the Cincinnati Reds completed their annual caravan Saturday, the next big date on their calendar is the start of spring training. Pitchers and catchers report to Goodyear, Arizona, on Feb. 13.
The club's front office is open to making more moves, but most of the roster already took shape during the offseason.
Here’s a look at the 58 players the Reds will have in big-league camp this spring and a position-by-position breakdown:
Catchers
40-man roster: Tucker Barnhart, Curt Casali, Tyler Stephenson.
Non-roster invitees: Francisco Peña, Chris Okey.
It’s possible the Reds could do a platoon at catcher this season with Barnhart facing right-handed pitching and Casali hitting against lefties.
