Braves second baseman Brandon Phillips, who played for the Reds from 2006 until he was traded to the Braves in February for Carlos Portuondo and Andrew McKirahan, hit his 200th career home run on Monday night in Atlanta, off of Pirates starter Gerrit Cole in the Braves' 5-2 win against Pittsburgh.
The 35-year-old Phillips has hit 191 of his 200 career home runs as a Red. His single-season best was 30 in 2007.
Phillips joins a small group of second basemen (mostly Hall of Famers) with 200 career home runs and 200 career stolen bases.
