SAN FRANCISCO – Brandon Drury isn’t oblivious to the fact he could be the Cincinnati Reds’ representative on the All-Star team next month, but it’s not something he's spending much time thinking about.
Drury leads the Reds in several offensive categories, including homers (15), runs (45), RBI (38), hits (64) and slugging percentage (.528), entering Tuesday. His slugging percentage ranks eighth in the National League and he’s tied for ninth in homers.
With Tyler Stephenson sidelined with a broken thumb, Drury is probably the Reds’ top candidate to earn a spot in the All-Star Game as a reserve.
