Hall of Fame shortstop Barry Larkin is headed to the Cincinnati Reds' broadcast booth.
Larkin will serve as a color analyst for Fox Sports Ohio during the 2021 season, the station announced Tuesday, in a rotation with Chris Welsh and Jeff Brantley. John Sadak was named the new play-by-play voice of the Reds earlier this month and Jim Day will remain in his role as a field reporter.
A special assistant in the Reds' front office for the last six years, Larkin has a lot of experience as a broadcaster. He's previously worked as an analyst on ESPN's Baseball Tonight and College World Series games, and he's been a studio analyst on MLB Network.
