PITTSBURGH -- Homer Bailey allowed three earned runs over five innings, extending his personal streak of losing decisions to seven in the Reds' 3-2 loss to the Pirates on Wednesday night at PNC Park.
Cincinnati closed out its six-game road trip by dropping three straight decisions to Pittsburgh after taking two of three from the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Bailey drops to 1-14 on the season as the Reds have lost in 19 of his 20 starts in 2018.
Jose Peraza gave Bailey an early lead, connecting on a 1-0 fastball from Jameson Taillon in the first inning and driving it over the center-field wall to put the Reds up, 1-0.
