ST. PETERSBURG -- The Reds and manager Bryan Price were still keeping their rotation plans for this weekend vs. the Nationals under the wraps on Tuesday. But all signs were pointing to Homer Bailey as being one of the starters, and making his 2017 debut in that series.
In his third rehab assignment start, Bailey gave up two earned runs, seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings for Triple-A Louisville. He struck out six and surrendered a home run. He is 3-0 with 1.08 ERA in three starts for Louisville, Double-A Pensacola and Class A Dayton.
