Billy Hamilton had three hits and two runs scored and Scooter Gennett hit a big three-run home run, but despite my better judgment, I am giving this to Kike Hernandez. He doubled twice, walked twice, and most importantly made a great and critical game-saving catch in the eighth inning.
- The Dodgers streaked out to a 5-0 lead, blasting seven hits in the first three innings against the desiccated husk of Bronson Arroyo.
- The Reds got a little something going in the fourth, loading the bases with one out. Scott Schebler took a plunk, scoring Billy Hamilton, but Eugenio Suarez and Arismendy Alcantara couldn’t capitalize and the Reds were only able to put up that one run.
