ST. LOUIS -- The Reds did what no other club could in the past month. The Reds snapped the Cardinals' streak of 10 straight series wins with a scrappy 6-4 win on Sunday. Cincinnati took the series finale on a 10th inning two-run home run by Eugenio Suarez off Cardinals reliever Bud Norris.
Signs of a ninth-inning meltdown surfaced for the Reds swiftly, but after Michael Lorenzen escaped a bases-loaded, no-outs situation, the club seized its opportunity. Joey Votto was walked to lead off the 10th prior to Suarez's lead-claiming shot to left, and Brandon Dixon supported with a home run the following at-bat.
