CINCINNATI -- Reds assistant hitting coach Lee Tinsley was arrested and charged for operating a vehicle while impaired, the club confirmed on Thursday.
Tinsley was booked at the Carroll County, Ky., detention center Thursday morning and released, MLB.com learned. WXIX-TV reported that documents showed the 46-year-old registered a breathalyzer test result of .08.
A Reds spokesperson said the club would have no further comment.
Tinsley, a Shelbyville, Ky., native, is in his second season as assistant hitting coach for Cincinnati. He also played five Major League seasons for three clubs.
