PHOENIX –– Around the Cincinnati Reds spring training complex in Goodyear, Arizona, relief pitcher Tejay Antone has been joking that he’s the “veteran at Tommy John surgery.”
Antone is spending the season at the Reds’ complex as he recovers from the second elbow surgery of his career. He’s expected to miss the rest of the season, and he’s working daily in Goodyear with reliever Daniel Duarte, starting pitcher Connor Overton and Reds’ minor leaguers who are rehabbing from long-term injuries.
After Antone had Tommy John surgery in 2017, he went through the same rehab process.
