GOODYEAR, Arizona – Amir Garrett was sitting on a chair in front of his locker, but he didn’t have a chance to answer the question before teammate Kyle Farmer, standing to his left, spoke up.
What was Garrett’s top focus during the offseason?
“Boxing classes,” Farmer said.
Garrett laughed and nodded. Then he kept a straight face with his own answer as Farmer looked at him.
“I mean, nothing really,” Garrett deadpanned. “I’m pretty much perfect to be honest.”
“Shut up,” Farmer responded.
Garrett was one of the top relievers in the National League during the first half of the season.
