PHOENIX – The timing was perfect.
Wednesday morning, Reds manager Jim Riggleman announced he was going to give the bulk of the playing time in left and right field to Adam Duvall and Scott Schebler.
Wednesday afternoon, Duvall and Schebler did a mean impersonation of the Bash Brothers.
Duvall hit a grand slam, and Schebler hit a two-run shot to lift the Reds to a 7-4 comeback victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks before a crowd of 18,304 at Chase Field.
The home runs helped the Reds overcome a rough start by right-hander Sal Romano.
Romano gave up a leadoff single to Jarrod Dyson in the first.
