The Cincinnati Reds arrived in Kansas City on Tuesday, but they had to wait one more day to resume their season.
The Reds will play a pair of seven-inning games in a doubleheader against the Royals on Wednesday, beginning at 5:05 p.m. Major League Baseball, in a statement, said Tuesday's postponement was "out of an abundance of caution and to allow for additional testing within the Cincinnati Reds' organization."
One Reds player tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. There haven't been any additional positive tests, but there were multiple players who didn't travel to Kansas City on Tuesday because the contact tracing process showed they may have been exposed to their infected teammate and they will need to complete more testing.
