Sean Doolittle became the newest member of the Cincinnati Reds bullpen when he passed his physical and the club announced his one-year deal Monday.
Doolittle will receive $1.5 million this season, plus performance bonuses. He became the Reds' second Major League signing this winter (reliever Édgar García signed a one-year, $600,000 contract in December). The 34-year-old lefty has several years of experience as a closer, but the Reds are just hoping he'll bounce back after an injury-filled 2020 season.
