There weren’t many major offseason moves in the National League Central, so the pecking order remains the same as last season.

The St. Louis Cardinals earned the final wild-card spot last season because of their 17-game winning streak in September, but they were viewed as underachievers when they were on the wrong side of the playoff bubble.
Then there is the Cincinnati Reds, who lost a lot of key players from last year’s roster, the Chicago Cubs, who traded away all their stars last summer, and the 101-loss Pittsburgh Pirates.
