The Cincinnati Bengals lost Joe Mixon, who was the team’s long-time No. 1 backfield option, this offseason. His absence is expected to be split among numerous players, with Zack Moss projected to get the bulk of the carries.
However, fans didn’t get a chance to see the former Colts back in action Saturday. He was reportedly out with an illness, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Chase Brown was able to get the starting action and turned that into ten yards on five carries. He also caught a pass.
Despite Brown’s presence on the roster over the last few seasons, Moss is still expected to be the starting option come opening week.
