The Cincinnati Bengals knew Joe Burrow went down in Week 11 with a season-ending injury that they weren’t going to have any shot at the playoffs.
But, the players in that locker room banded together and went out and still has the team’s longest winning streak of the season. That two-game streak may have saved second-year head coach Zac Taylor his job.
The same can’t be said for the Eagles’ head coach Doug Peterson.
In the second half of the Eagles’ Week 17 victory, Peterson took out stellar rookie quarterback Jalen Hurt and inserted Nate Sudfeld, eventually losing to a helpless Washington Football Team.
