The Cincinnati Bengals brought back linebackers Logan Wilson and Germaine Pratt this offseason to shore up their defense. Technically, they re-signed Pratt and extended Wilson.
On top of that, they made quarterback Joe Burrow the highest-paid player in the NFL with his contract extension. With Ja’Marr Chase’s extension looming as well, the team hasn’t found it in their budget to toss a new multi-million dollar extension to star wide receiver Tee Higgins.
Higgins has been out the last several weeks, and some fans are starting to think Higgins, who is a free agent at the end of the season, is making a business decision by trying to show his importance to the team’s offense while also not getting hurt and risking a new contract from a different organization.
