Willie Anderson, former Cincinnati Bengals great, endorses Marvin Lewis as NFL head coach

Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Willie Anderson explained via Twitter on Tuesday that he believes Marvin Lewis should be hired by a National Football League looking to rebuild, insisting that "very few can do the rebuild he had to do with the Bengals."

Anderson, a Bengal from 1996 to 2007, played for five seasons for Lewis, the Bengals' head coach from 2003 to 2018. Detroit Lions president Rod Wood said Tuesday that the team interviewed Lewis as well as former Bengals player and current Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy for its head coaching vacancy.
