Former Cincinnati Bengals Willie Anderson, Corey Dillon, James Harrison, Chad Johnson, Justin Smith and Takeo Spikes were named Tuesday as Modern-Era Nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
Anderson, who played 12 of his 13 National Football League seasons for the Bengals and was the team's "Ruler of the Jungle" for a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, was a finalist for the 2022 class. He also was a semifinalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2021 consideration. Later this month, he'll be added to the Bengals' Ring of Honor.
