There was a moment during 11-on-11 drills Friday afternoon where Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning couldn't believe what he saw.
Browning scanned the field, looked off a safety and waited for star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase to make his break on a 15-yard out-route. Once he did, the throw was easy.

"I'm like, 'damn, he's wide open,' " Browning laughed. "I probably could've punted it to him."
Such is the life for a backup quarterback thrust into the starting spotlight of one of the NFL's most explosive offenses.
