In Thursday night's preseason opener, Joe Mixon offered up a taste of what he can deliver this season.
Left out in the flat, he took a check down from Andy Dalton and made linebacker John Timu miss on the sideline then spun off of safety Adrian Amos to waltz into the end zone for a score.
Offensive coordinator Bill Lazor wants to find ways to get Mixon opportunities in space and lining him up alone on one side of the formation then throwing it to him is an example of that.
