Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 season for violating the league’s Performance Enhancing Drugs policy. This means that Burfict lost his appeal to overturn the suspension and will be forced to sit out.
While Burfict is not a stranger to being suspended by the NFL, this will be the first time for something off the field. Burfict has been suspended or fined 12 times by the league since joining the Bengals. He has also missed 28 games over the last four years due to injuries and suspensions.
