CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was greeted by a large group of reporters as soon as he entered the locker room on Monday afternoon.
"It's like he's the President," a nearby teammate joked. Another asked when he was going to play a game of ping pong set up in the locker room. Players who hadn't gotten a chance to say hello that morning came by his locker to chat.
Burfict's three-game suspension is officially over, and he's free to resume team activities, including practice. The Bengals have a roster exemption until Thursday, at which point they will have to make a corresponding move to activate him.
