The Cincinnati Bengals are working to build a roster around Joe Burrow that can make a deep playoff run with hopes of reaching the Super Bowl. A major part of that plan involves securing long-term contracts for star wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, the latter of whom was franchise-tagged for the second straight year.
NFL insider Josina Anderson was recently asked on Twitter if she had any updates on the contract situations of Chase, Higgins, or defensive end Trey Hendrickson. Her response was cryptic yet potentially revealing:
“No injury waiver in Chase’s deal,” she replied.
