Last October, as Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor reflected on the constant change on the offensive line during his first three seasons, he tried to recall the name of an offensive guard who had started a game for the team in 2020.
Taylor paused and looked up, hoping the name would come to him. He tried to visualize the guard who he asked to block Tennessee Titans Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. But he couldn’t come up with the name Shaq Calhoun by the end of the press conference.
Over the last three years, the Bengals have had too many offensive linemen to remember.
