It was well-known that the Cincinnati Bengals and Tee Higgins were at odds this offseason. Higgins wants to be paid like a top receiver in the league, and the Bengals simply do not have or do not want to use their cap space to make that happen.
They’re running into a similar problem with Ja’Marr Chase; however, Higgins contract situation seems uglier and less likely to get done. Higgins was set to play without a known injury for most of the last few weeks.
He ended up being on the sideline for the Bengals season-opening loss to the New England Patriots with a hamstring injury.
