New year, same old run defense problems. The Cincinnati Bengals’ ineptness in stopping the run has persisted on to this season.
Cincinnati’s defense allowed a league worst 148.9 rushing yards last year. Through two games this season, the squad is giving up an average of 185 rushing yards.
“It’s definitely tough because that’s what you build your defense on. You got to stop the run and to come up short,” Bengals linebacker Josh Bynes said. “Obviously, (Thursday) and the previous week, two different run schemes obviously. It’s got to be so much better. We got to do better defensively.
