A 2023 second-team All-Pro wide receiver may soon be on its way to the AFC North.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers “re-engaged in conversations mid-day today regarding San Francisco’s Brandon Aiyuk.”
This comes after talks “stalled” Monday, per Schefter.
Per multiple other reports, the 49ers have also engaged with the Cincinnati Bengals’ fellow AFC North rival, the Cleveland Browns, as well as the New England Patriots about Aiyuk.
Aiyuk, a 26-year-old fifth-year pro, has been attempting to receive a contract extension from the 49ers rather than play the 2024 season on his fifth-year option.
