Source: Free-agent safety Ricardo Allen visits Cincinnati Bengals

Free-agent safety Ricardo Allen visited the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, a source informed The Enquirer.

The news was first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Allen has spent all seven of his NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. The 5-foot-9 safety started in 76 of the 77 games he played in Atlanta. He was released by the Falcons last month. He registered 25 tackles, five pass deflections and two interceptions in 12 games last season.

The 2014 fifth-round pick has 340 tackles, 26 pass deflections and 11 interceptions in his career.

Allen’s decision to visit the Bengals is interesting.
