All indications Thursday are that defensive lineman Wallace Gilberry is returning to the Bengals in an effort to beef up a rotation that is ranked just 18th in the NFL in sacks per pass and is part of a unit on pace to allow 4,000 passing yards for the second time in franchise history.
According to his tweets and various sources, Gilberry, a highly-regarded locker room figure who was a big part of the Bengals’ successful defensive line rotation during the previous four seasons as an end and inside rusher, is expected when the Bengals return to work Monday after the bye week.
