The NFL has suspended Bengals safety Shawn Williams one game for stepping on Dolphins lineman Solomon Kindley during Sunday’s game between the two teams.
The play in question happened in the second quarter when Williams clearly stepped on Kindley after the play was over.
Williams, who’s been relegated to a backup role this season, has been playing behind Jessie Bates and Vonn Bell at safety this season, though the veteran was still named a team captain. Williams played just seven defensive snaps Sunday and has logged double-digit snaps just four times this season, the last coming in Week 8 (10 snaps) vs.
